By car By train + bus

From the North: take the A1 motorway and exit at “Firenze Impruneta”, then proceed along the main Siena-Florence road. Exit at Siena Sud and take the SS2 Cassia towards Monteroni Monteroni d'Arbia – Buonconvento - Roma. A few kilometres after San Quirico, turn towards Bagno Vignoni at the fork in the road.

From the South: take the A1 motorway and exit at “Chiusi-Chianciano Terme”. Take the S146 and before you reach Chianciano turn left towards San Quirico d'Orcia - Bagno Vignoni on the Traversa Amiata road.

From the North From the South

Take the A1 motorway and exit at Firenze Impruneta, then take the SS2 Cassia towards Tavarnuzze. From there, take the SP69, go through Impruneta and then take the SS222 at Strada in Chianti. This road runs all of the way through Chianti, which is a sister area to the Val d’Orcia. It has just as many small and large treasures, including the vineyards of the most famous Tuscan wine in the world and mediaeval villages where it is still possible to admire the old and new glories of this splendid land. At the end of the road, take the SS2 Cassia. It will take you alongside the River Ombrone through the strip of land that links Chianti to the Val d’Orcia as far as the beautiful village of San Quirico. A few kilometres further on, turn towards Bagno Vignoni at the fork in the road.

Take the A1 motorway and exit at Orte, then take the SS675 towards Viterbo. From there, take the SS2 Cassia, which will lead you to Bagno Vignoni alongside the beautiful Lake Bolsena. Once you are in Tuscany, you can admire some of the villages in the Val d’Orcia, such as Radicofani, Piancastagnaio and Castiglione d’Orcia. Meanwhile, standing proud in the background you will see Mount Amiata, where three of the most beautiful areas in Tuscany come together: the Val d’Orcia, Maremma and the Val di Chiana.
